Starting my proyect

OK, I am starting my Prius proyect before even getting my car, which I bought last month and I hope to have it for the 25th of January. The car is a Frech car, Prius 10th anniversary which it has IPA and smart key entry.Why is a french car? because I lived inFrance, of course! althouth I am Spanish and I work in Switzerland.

I would like to connect a pocket PC (Dell Axim X50v) to the Prius OBD bus in order to be able to collect all the values from different sensors and show them in the Axim screen. I am going to write a program where I will show different graphics from the car and I will insert the right values in the right place. That is why I don't want to use any of the software which are over there, they can not be customized I wish.

First thing I will need is a serial cable for my Axim, then a OBD2 to serial converter. I have checked both things but I haven't decided yet. I would add here all the information I will collect.
